What formulas are used?
X% of Y is X times Y divided by 100. X as a percent of Y is X divided by Y times 100. Percentage change is the new value minus the old value, divided by the old value, times 100.
How do I find a discount price?
Choose Decrease Y by X%, enter the discount as X and the original price as Y.
Why does percentage change need a non-zero old value?
The change is measured against the old value, and a percentage of zero cannot be calculated.
